Life is so incredibly amazing right now. Like, I feel like I’m exactly where I want to be. Thank you to everyone for their support, and even those with concerns.
Trust me, this was planned, but we weren’t exactly thinking I’d have such luck on the first try. I’m currently taking tons (not tons, but plentiful) amounts of prenatal vitamins and extra folic acid (because of that whole MTHFR thing) to make sure that baby and I are n a healthy path.
I have my first appointment on the 15th with my OBGYN to get my medical confirmation and ultrasound. For those who asked, we decided to have a baby pre-wedding because I have health insurance now, but won’t once we decide to get married. I heard somewhere that it costs upward of $40,000 to have a baby for the uninsured, but this way it will cost me (at most) $500 out of pocket and my baby will either be covered by my current insurance or Bryan’s benefits once he gets them from work. If not, Florida has Florida Kid Care which, if I’m not mistaken, will cost $15 a month for the baby.
Ugh, I am disgustingly excited and so happy. Everyone knows this is the one thing I ever wanted and its incredible. I mean, the peeing 24-7 is kinda funny and the sore boobies sucks, but I can’t wait for every physical step until I meet my baby in 8 or so months.
Its so adorable, Bryan bought me Jenny McCarthy’s Belly Laughs because I’ve been wanting to read it (even pre-pregnancy). It is hysterical! Sometimes a little crazy and scary, but I randomly sit there and bust out laughing. I want to read as much as possible during my pregnancy and learn as much about my experiences in motherhood-to-come, so I’m trying to read a book every week. Hehehe, lots of books, but this one is only 167ish pages, so I’m nearly done from last night and books like that aren’t too bad. I saw others, Baby’s First Tattoo and some others, that look adorable and want to read.
Hehe, now for the dead set question? Do I want a boy or girl? and What are the names?
I sound like a loony, but I’ve always assumed I would have a girl for my first pregnancy and still have this gut instinct that I’ll have a little girl. Afterall, the Chinese lunar charts say with my date of birth and the date of conception, I’ll have a baby girl. With that said though, my gut instinct is nearly always wrong and I’m the most skeptical person ever. Hahaha, so given those circumstances, Bryan will have his little Gage Holden, but I’m sticking to my gun and saying we’ll see little Ava Frances in a few months. Regardless, I’ll find out around 9 weeks or so when I have my CVS test done. :) I demand this test simply to make sure my pregnancy is a healthy and happy one.
P.S.: My Bellabutton is going to be a mommy too!
